Percbuddy is a new age degenerate avatar who revels in hedonistic tendencies, suffering the consequences of his escapades while addicted to his own misery. Percbuddy is a character or mask, thinly veiling the real themes of teenage anxiety and depression. Having completed multiple collaborations with Lil B, Cartier God, and Chicago rapper Cuntessa, Percbuddy’s sound is as expansive as Kaufmann’s influences. These include everything from Sickboyrari, David Shawty, Sweet Trip, Vegyn, King Krule, Ye, Tyler the Creator, Das Racist, but is also equally informed by Ornette Coleman, Eddie Henderson, Boyz II Men and the visual language of body horror, David Cronenberg, and the Safdie Brothers.
